Is this an attack or a website issue?
-
Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I started seeing lots of page loads to links such as this on my website:
“adwhois.com/yoplait-commercial-hunger/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/static/an/undefined/stati”Shown on Statcounter. According to statcounter I got about 3000 hits to pages like that, which don’t exist. I thought it was an attack at first because they started coming from XLHost and there were multiple page loads in a short period of time. I’m wondering now if maybe it’s not an attack but page loads that are looping somehow? The actual page for that link above is: https://www.adwhois.com/yoplait-commercial-hunger/ so I have no idea why it keeps adding ‘undefined/static/an/’ to end. Nothing had had changed before yesterday that would attribute to this problem. My site uses WP Super Cache.
Here is a screenshot of what the pageloads look like according to statcounter: https://adwhois.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Popular-Page-Log1.png
Has anyone seen this issue before? I’d really appreciate any help that can be offered.
Thanks!
