• Hello everyone,

I have to test an upgrade from WP 3.3.1 to 3.8.1, in order to check old theme and plugins compatibility,
So, i would like to know if the process that I’ve thought up is safe ?

    – I clone my old database to a new mysql database on the hosting server
    – I change my wp-config database information to point to the new cloned database
    – I update wordpress and plugins and I do some testing
    – When (and if) i want to revert to my old installation, I put back old backed up WP 3.3 and plugin folders (and old root files), i change again my wp-config database infos to point to my old database and … I’m done ?

Is there something i am not aware of about revert to the exact same configuration using this process ?

    Thanks for any help …
