Essentially, I have a really long list (over 500 rows)– I’m slowly adding more things, but I’d really like to alphabetize it right off the bat. Is there any way for me to adjust the numbers over dragging it all the way up? (IE: If 4 is Bike and 5 is Couch and then I add in Cake as 198– would there be a quick way for me to make it 5 instead automatically pushing Couch and all following it down a number versus dragging it up to the top)

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

You could simply sort the table for that colum, by clicking the small arrow icons in the header row ??

Hi. Unfortunately, that would work if I could sort by category first but there’s multiple categories and just doing it that way from the finished table jumbles the categories up then.

I know there’s the search function as well and pages and while I’m well-versed, I’ve found a lot of people just don’t think to use them which is why I wanted some way to organize them from the start.

    Hi,

    ok, I see.

You might then want to consider maintaining the table offline, e.g. in Excel, where you have more and better insert/sort features. You could then bring the table into the correct shape there, export it to a CSV file and import that into TablePress.

    Regards,
    Tobias
