We are wondering if the plugin has any session/journey type tracking available? So I as visitor land on the website, surf to page A, then B, then C.

Is there a tracking function that will display that journey? After installation and configuration and the plugin operating for a few weeks I do see the Visitor Insights stats panel providing me some visitor information but nothing that allows me to see their full journey from landing to exit, even if just the urls viewed in succession in the journey. But I thought the plugin had this available? Not perhaps in as fancy a form as say Mouseflow or Smartlook with their visual journey session recordings but I had understood you had basic journey tracking. Is it perhaps in a premium module?

    Thank you

    Hi @maxcom

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question. I appreciate your interest in our plugin and your detailed explanation.

Unfortunately, our plugin does not currently offer a dedicated session or journey tracking feature that allows you to see the complete path a visitor takes from landing to exit.

However, you can still view recent visitor activity by navigating to Statistics > Visitor Insights. From there, if you click on the number in the Total Views column, you will see the Recent Views of that visitor. While this is not a full journey tracking feature, it provides insight into the pages they have recently visited.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions. I’m happy to assist you.

    Regards,
    Mehmet

Thank you for replying. We surfed to Visitor Insights panel and found the Total Views column. We have some modest suggestions for improvements from our perspective as a user:

    1. Please allow the Total Views column to be sortable as you do with the Last View column. This way we can sort by the greatest number of total views.
    2. It would also be nice to be able to sort by Latest Page. Thus we could sort by the most in demand to the least, or vice versa.
    3. The view shows a max count of 25 per page. Please allow this to be adjusted. The website has good traffic and being able to eyeball in views of say 100 or larger (we would set it at 500 had we the ability) would be very useful. As it is just with 30 days traffic there is 290 pages due to the 25 per page limitation. Agonizing.

There is one puzzling aspect to this. If we take any Visitor that has 2 or more Total Views, and then click on the total views link, when we land on the Visitor Report for the IP it always shows one less in the Recent Views information. We have an example below, the Number of Views is 4, but the Recent Views only show 3 webpages viewed:

Perhaps we are missing the obvious and are having a stupid moment but it seems to us the number of views is 3.

Mehmet, Again thank you for both your prompt and detailed response initially, and we hope that your team will take our suggestions constructively. We look forward to the reply on the views function/discrepancy.

    Hi @maxcom,

I hope you are doing well.

Thank you for your detailed explanation, cooperation, and suggestions. I will forward your suggestions to our team for further consideration.

In the meantime, you may find the following information useful:

    • To find the greatest number of total views, please navigate to Statistics > Page Insights.
    • To view the most active users, go to Statistics > Overview > Most Active Visitors. You can also sort this table by dragging and dropping the columns.
    • If you want to view a large amount of data in one place, you can export it by going to Statistics > Optimization > Data Export.

Please note that recent views do not log a record every time a user visits a page. For example, if a user visits the home page, then a product page, and then returns to the home page, only two records will be logged, not three. However, in the Visitor Details section on the left, you can still see the total number of views for that user.

    Best regards,
    Mehmet
