• Eversince I upgraded to version 2.8.4 last week I have been unable to add or edit my text widgets (I have the jillij theme). I have read that this is an unresolved problem with the upgrade so I’m wondering if there is a workaround that would allow me to bypass using the text widget at all and perhaps just edit the html instead? If so, where would I find the proper html file for my sidebar? Any other workarounds you can think of? Help would be greatly appreciated it!

    WordPress doesn’t produce static files that you can edit – to you can’t edit the text that’s currently in the Text widget at file level. Your sidebar template file is probably called sidebar.php.

    Who said that? In my experience, 95% of post-upgrade problems are caused by 1 or more incompatible plugin. 4% of problems are caused by incompatible themes and the remaining 1% by a range of issues.
