• Hi, I’ll try to explain this shortly.

I have 3 domains and want them to work with multisite and all from different IP. Now it would be easy if I use different hosts, but I have to do this from the same host.

Here is the trick, I am able to assign different IP for every new domain from my host, the only condition is that the domain isn’t parked or created as an addon, i.e. it has to be regular account creation with the cpanel for itself – otherwise I wouldn’t be able to assign the other IP.

So, after registering the domain and setting a regular hosting account, i.e. not parking it, can I edit the DNS zone somehow so that domain still works with multisite?

    Thanks.

    No.

Why do you need the other IP?

Well, they are related in content and linking them may be helpful for ranking.
But obviously nothing with this, at least from this angel. Thanks.

That … doesn’t really answer why you need another IP.

You really don’t, you know. You could have every single website known to man on one IP, and Google doesn’t give a flying fart ??

sorry but that’s the reason I thought about another IP. I thought the site have a better chance with Google if all aren’t on the same IP.

Nope, not at all ?? Save yourself the headache and stick to one IP.
