Hi @myblackf150 –
Right now, Total Upkeep Premium includes the ability to restore a single file, but not an entire plugin directory. We currently have a feature request under consideration for this, but there are technical challenges to make it a reliable restoration technique. This is mainly due to detecting which changes in the database any given plugin might make other than it’s own version number.
In other words, for many plugins simply restoring the directory is good enough to recover from a bad update, but in our testing this sometimes causes more issues than it fixes. Restoring the full backup is much more reliable for recovery.
One thing you might consider is the WP Rollback plugin (as long as the plugin in question is hosted here on the WordPress repository), which will let you revert to the previous version of the plugin without the need to restore the backup.
