• Maybe it’s something with my site, but we are using your pluging to show the most popular posts and have it set to the last 24hours, but it seems to not reset the way I would expect it to.

For instance at the end of yesterday one of my sites posts had 100 views on it. As of this morning the count was 110 views, instead of 10.

Is there a problem with my site or is this how the plugin actually works.

    Thanks so much in advance,

    Philip

    Hi Philip,

No, that’s alright. That’s how the plugin works: it’ll list the views generated within the selected Time Range.

Thanks for the feedback. I wasn’t sure because the counts we have been seing on our site fro 24 hours seem so close to the weekly count. (We use the plugin in two places on our site. One to show the most popular for the last 24 hours and in another area to see the most popular for the week).

Can your tell me when the 24hrs period begins and ends?

Sorry if this seems like a dumb questions, but I want to track it on my own today.

    Thanks again,

    Philip

No problem, not a dumb question at all. WordPress Popular Posts tracks views count from current time to desired Time Range. It doesn’t really end.

So 24 hours is from 12:01 am to 12:59 pm?

More like, for example, 24 hours from now. At the time of writing this, it’s 04:38 pm so WPP will pick views generated from 04:38 pm (yesterday) to 04:38 pm (now).

How do you set that time. I don’t understand. It just picks 4:38 pm

Please re-read what I posted above:

WPP will pick views generated from [insert current time here] (yesterday) to [insert current time here] (now).

Oh I see. So it’s dynamic and isn’t based on a set time of the day. I get it now.

Okay thanks for answering my questions. I appreciate it.

    Philip
