    I am wondering if it’s possible to open a category gallery in a new tab.

    I have created a profile page for someone that will include six videos that all have the same category attached.

    I have created a shortcode for a category gallery using the “video gallery” type of gallery in the short code generator.

    I put the category gallery shortcode at the bottom of the text on the profile page, and the six videos show up beautifully. Really, your plugin is so nice.

    If someone clicks a video, the user leaves the profile page and goes to the category video gallery that plays one big video at the top and displays the thumbnails for the other videos below. But there’s no simply solution to go back to the profile page (other than to click the back arrow in the browser).

    My question is: Is it possible for that category gallery to open in a new tab so the profile page is still open?

    “Not yet” is a perfectly good answer.

    This is a local installation so I have no links.

    Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    The solution is to edit our template files and modify the ‘anchor’ tags with a ‘target’ attribute.

    1. Open /wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-video-gallery/public/templates/video-thumbnail.php

    2. Find the line with the following code,
    <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"

    3. Change it as,
    <a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" target="_blank"

    4. Save the changes and check now.

    Hope this solved your issue!

    Note: Instead of editing our source files directly, I would suggest writing an override. Kindly refer https://plugins360.com/all-in-one-video-gallery/child-themes-and-templates/ to do this.

    Thank you for both solutions.

    I appreciate it.

    I tried the override method first, and it worked perfectly. No need to edit the source files directly.

    Thanks again.
