Is there a way to install a previous database without losing your new changes?

  • Hi everyone,

    I just wanted to know if there is a way to install a database from February 14 2022 without losing the new pages I have created on my website? Is this possible? And if so how?

    Or will installing the old database overwrite and delete all the new pages I have created on the website?

    database tables are dropped and created again with imported content.
    You will need export/save new content somehow (using a plugin or Dashboard-Tools-Export).

    In any case, take a backup snapshot of your current database before trying to do something with it.

    This is great advice.

    I have just exported all the Pages that I created after February 14 2022 which was the day that I backed up the website and database.

    Once I reinstall the database which I saved on February 14 2022 will I be able to import all the new pages from the exported file (Tools > Export) created after this point?

    And will this mean that I will be able to install the database and still keep any new pages I created after February 14 2022?
