    Ok so here’s some background:

    The issue can be found here: https://greenbotdynamics.com/thrust-vectored-rocket

    The preview works: Yes

    It works with other themes: haven’t tried, custom site.
    It works when I disable all other plugins: It has several enabled several old ones removed, always functions the same.

    Meta Slider version: 3.14.0

    Problem:

    When the pics change height is it possible to hold them down in the vertical dimension so when there are differences in pixel height the white space always “rises and falls” at the top most part of the slide window ?

    Right now it seems to jump to the vertical center.

    Keep in mind im not wanting to force a change in aspect proportion, it will be the same just always “sitting” at the bottom.

    Thank you,
    -Patrick

  • Hi @patrick300

    Have you checked out the cropping options under “Advanced Settings”? Is “Smart Pad” what you are looking for?

    Ive played with those, i see a fly out menu with a dozen options for position but i may not have done that part right. Keep in mind i dont want the image cropped, the width should be constant forced, but the aspect ratio / pixel height must move up and down to keep the picture from looking “squished”. if the text moves up and down that looks odd to the viewer as well.

    Hi,

    That’s not the cropping setting. See here: https://prnt.sc/p8hrm7

    I want to use the pics at there existing aspect ratio.

    What about this : https://imgur.com/a/xOkx58P what do these do ?

    Those set the crop position based on the dimensions you have set for the slideshow. If you disable cropping, they do nothing.

    Did setting it to Smart Pad resolve your issue?

    Thread Starter Patrick300

    (@patrick300)

    Yes i set all four types in that menu, “Smart Pad” made parts of the pics not visible.

    Im also wondering if its possible to push the text block below the pic.

    Hi,

    To move the caption below you can add the following CSS to override the default:

    .metaslider .caption-wrap {
      position: static !important;
    }

    Let me know if you have any more issues.

    ok i still need help, im bad at css, but let me try.

    Im looking here: https://www.metaslider.com/documentation/how-do-i-add-custom-css-to-my-theme/

    I have a custom web theme.

    is this where its done via option 2 ?

    Someone marked this as resolved, but neither the position nor the CSS mod work.

    Hi @patrick300

    I asked “Did setting it to Smart Pad resolve your issue?” and you replied yes so I misunderstood that the issue was resolved. If those settings don’t work for you then it’s not something we support.

    As for the CSS you can add it anywhere your theme supports adding CSS. Otherwise our pro version has a tool that will conveniently do the same, but output the CSS on pages specific to where the slideshow is loaded.

    It looks like you successfully added it though? I can see the caption area below the images now.

    Im not sure see the pic of the code and its location i linked to earlier, i used method 2.

    I have more than 100 slide shows. Do I have to add the CSS code to each one individually ?

    Is there no way to add the code in one spot and have it applied globally ?

    Is it possible to click on the current slider image and have that pic open in a separate screen at full size ?

    I have included pics:

    What do these mean? do they relate to the four options in the “Smart Pad” menu ?

    It seems to center the image on the horizontal dashed line. By changing the hieght in both of the vertical arrow dimensions.

    Is it possible to center text ?

    Ive made some changes. https://greenbotdynamics.com/thrust-vectored-rocket now they move up and down a bit.

    Hi @patrick300,

    If you need to make customizations to the slideshow outside of what we offer, your best option if to hire a developer to assist you.

    If you have an issue with the plugin, or a simple question I can help out with then let me know.

    I presume its not normal for a single slide to move up 10 or more pixels at a time then jump down 20 pixels pause then jump to another slide ?

    Look at the slider at the very bottom of this page :

    Hi @patrick300

    Can you check the URL? I don’t see MetaSlider on this page.

    Thread Starter Patrick300

    (@patrick300)

    Ive deactivated Meta Slider and moved on to Smart Slider 3. Thank you for your help.
