Is there a way to display the sum of Upvotes and downvotes?

Hi there. Thanks for making this plugin. I’m wondering if anyone can help. I’m trying to display the sum total of upvotes and downvotes. I can display the total number of upvotes, or downvotes, but there isn’t a way to add the two together. An example would be if a post has 40 upvotes, and 10 downvotes, then the sum total would be 30 upvotes.

can anyone point me in the right direction here?
