    is there a way to Completely disable gravatars. we are using “Only allow local avatars (still uses Gravatar for default avatars)” option still some times default images are replacing with gravatars.

    can you please suggest what to do with this, we dont want any gravatars avathar on the website

    There are two options you’ll need to set.

    The first is the one you mention, where you set Only allow local avatars

    Second you’ll need to change the Default Avatar setting, either choosing the Blank option or uploading your own custom avatar.

    With both of those options set, it will either load the user’s custom uploaded avatar (bypassing Gravatar all together) or if they haven’t uploaded a custom avatar, it will load the default avatar you uploaded (or the blank avatar) also bypassing Gravatar.

    @dkotter – just to be 100% clear – the “show avatar” checkbox needs to be checked, the local avatar does not show if this is unticked?

    @anovatis yes “show avatar” checkbox should be selected to play with all these options
