    Hi Mike,

There is the relative option in the backend admin panel

    [steps]
    1. Login and enter the Dashboard.
    2. “Setting” -> “EasyCode Options”.
    3. Toggle the option named “Collapsed code blocks”.

    Thanks Bob.

That will work for now. It would be nice to be able to have some expanded by default and some collapsed by default. I can just use another plugin for the expanded ones for now since they are just short snippets.

    Hi Mike

It is pleasant you can share some ideas with me. That is also what i have planned to do and this function will be added in a later version.

    Hi Mike
    In version 1.5.1

Short code snippets can be showed automatically.
Code blocks can be separately set showed or collapsed by default when inserted.

    Thanks Bob!

Unfortunately I seem to be having troubles with the new version however. At first when I updated it seemed to crash my WP site, so I manually removed the easycode folder and tried to readd the plugin. Now I see this error:

Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/kuenzim/incrementalevolution.com/html/wp-content/plugins/easycode/class.php on line 58

    Thanks,

    Hi, Mike

    i’m sorry for this issue

This problem is caused by the PHP version. The relative function cannot work well in version under 5.5.

And the bug has been fixed in easycode 1.5.2

Thanks Bob it works great now. I still think it would be cool to be able to explicitly specify whether a block shows or hides, but the line count is a definite improvement.

    Hi, Mike
The option of setting whether to show or hide for the block has been added in the dialog which display after the ‘Insert Code’ button is clicked.
By this way, each code block can be set to be shown or hidden explicitly and separately.

    Hope this can help you.

    Bob
