receive an email when the contributor click on Pending Review button

    is there a way that I receive an email when the contributor click on Pending Review button?

    There is no option you could select like that in core WP. Seems like there should be now that you mention it. But just about anything is possible through plugins or custom code. If you cannot find a plugin to do so, it can be custom coded by hooking into one of the various post transition actions. I think you want the “draft_to_pending” action.
