Is there a video uploader plugin like Youtube?

    There’s the Kaltura plugin– after the free trial, they charge you $300 a month. I talked to several people who said I’d need a dedicated server if I wanted to do it myself, without Kaltura.
    There is also something called Revver. It is much less money, but you would have to share your site with them. You can google Revver and see the details.
    If anyone finds anything else or gets creative, please let me know. My email is [email protected]. Also, if you can tell me how to upload videos myself, as the admin, I’d be grateful. The only thing I’ve found is the VideoPress plugin, and I don’t think it’ll work for me, because I have an InMotion site, and not a wordpress.com site. Any help would be appreciated.

    Also, somebody suggested that subscribers to my blog can post a “video comment” as a comment to something I post. My blog’s not up yet, I’m completely new at this, and I don’t know how to get as far as allowing someone to post a video comment. It seems like they could keep posting video comments, and that could be like YouTube. Please someone, give me feedback on this.

    About the Kaltura plugin– first you have to get the BuddyPress plugin, then you get the Kaltura plugin for BuddyPress. Then you do have an actual YouTube-like site. As I said, it’ll cost you around $300 a month.
