Is there a setting to overwrite jpg in media file?

I would like to do a batch upload of jpg files to the Media Library on a weekly basis to update images on a web page. When I upload a new jpg with the same filename as a previouly uploaded jpg, it does not overwrite it, but creates a second file with the same name. If I could tell WordPress to overwrite the file then I assume this would allow updated photos to change weekly on my website, without having to reconstruct the page.
