I want to find out what people are using for a particular thing. But when I search, even on the page that says “search the forums” I still get a general wordpress site search, with just hits for plug-ins. I can do a plug in search (and have already done that). That’s not what I want. I like forums because it’s real people talking about real experience. So that’s my feedback. Your forum is not useful without a search. Too many postings to browse the subject lines. I don’t know that I’ve ever frequented a forum without a dedicated forum search. So am I missing something here? I hope so; please advise if there is a forum search, somehow. Or if there’s another wordpress-centric forum on the net not hosted by www.remarpro.com. Thanks!

We know. Forum search here is poor (read that as “it really sucks”) and it’s been on the to-do list for years. ;(

The reason for it being on the list for years is that due to the way these forums are setup. At this time searching across them really is not a trivial thing to do. These are multiple installations of forums that only appear to be connected. They’re really not and fixing forum search remains a problem.

Thanks for your response! I eventually found what I needed with a google search.
