I would like to tag my plugins for organizational purposes. I have tried the Plugin Organizer but it only allows 1 category or “group” per plugin, and I really really want something more like tags.

For example I have a plug in that I would like to easily find for 3 different purposes, so I’d tag it with Affiliate, Templates, & Squeeze Pages.
Then in the plugin interface I would see all the tags at the top and just click the group that I’m looking for.

Does anyone know of anything like this? Trying to search for it on google and in the wordpress repository gives hundreds of results for tag related plugins, or plugins tagged with “tag”.

  • Plugin organizer does do that. You can add a plugin to as many groups as you want.

O Cool! I totally didn’t expect that. (Now I wondering why I thought it was limited to one.) Awesome Jeff, Thank you ??

I’m working on an update that allows you to use the groups to disable or enable plugins but right now they are just for organization. Let me know if you have any issues with it or have suggestions to improve the groups.
