Is there a new version again ?

  • I am confused. I updated my WordPress in Dec 24, 2005 from 1.5 to 2.0. Are you telling me there is a new version again?
    My blog has been working fine so far and I just don’t know if I should upgrade it again only after a month.

  • Yes, v2.0.1 is a bugfix version that fixes a lotta issues that 2.0 had.

    And a new version of WordPress usually comes out every month or two if I remember correctly.

    Oh man does that mean I have to updrage my blog every month. That’s kind of demaning huh..

    If you are not having problems you don’t necessarily have to upgrade but it won’t hurt either…I know easier said than done.

    Hopefully if will be more than a month before the next upgrade but sometimes severe bugs require an upgrade release.

    However, remember that in most cases, all upgrading requires is just uploading the files of the latest version and then running /wp-admin/upgrade.php. ??
