• We are no experts.
But having problems with our popular Community support web site (arugam.info).
It worked fine until the last second of 2010.
Ever since, the site is stuck, can’t be updated, no posts or comments are accepted etc.
Also, the server had been sent auto backups every few minutes to exceed the web-space.
The site to look at is fully functional – but appears to be frozen.
    Is it a
    Virus/ bug?
    A time /date error?
    A word press update error?

    How can it corrected?
    Any help please!

  • There is no New Millenium bug. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    – increasing the memory available to PHP?

    Thank you, Esmi,

    We followed your advice.
    But still, no progress.
The WP site is functional, but accepts no changes whatsoever.

It looks like that Plugins can be disabled – but somehow it does not seem to accept the fact as they still show up as ‘active’.
    No matter what we do.

We are happy to send you access data as we amateurs simply don’t know what else we could do.

    Thanks
