Is there a “MySpace” Type of Profile Plug-in for WP?

  • I am about to start a community site(s) and would love to use word press as the CMS, but I want the functionality of the “MySpace” type of extended, public profile and interaction between members.. I wonder why no one has done this yet with Word press.. I wish they would.

    The elements are all there in WPress, audio, video, photo, Bulletin Board,.. etc. — someone just needs to bring them together as a user profile widget.

    Yes something like on this blog: Jalopnik
    When you look at the comments in a post, instead of showing a link to an external site, it shows a link to a profile page. Each members can interact with others and each profile page shows links to posts where that user submitted a comment.
    I think this would be really useful.
    I have been looking everywhere but couldn’t find anything close.

    yes, well thats not wordpress, so Im not sure what what the significance is ..
