Is there a list of 2-digit state numbers that appear in sales log data.

When I download the sales log data to CSV format, the states appear as 2-digit numbers, not 2-digit postal codes. For example, California is 18 and Ohio is 48. These numbers seem pretty random and I have no idea where they are defined, i.e., no list of them in the docs. Anyone have any idea where there is a list of the numbers for all 50 states? Thanks for your help.
