After reviewing past threads and trying to find a way to turn off this button, haven’t found one.

The Shownotes button on the player when clicked displays the ‘Summary’ field data from the back end where its edited. These two things do not always mean the same thing.

We have a great way to display show notes on the site separately, without the powerpress plugin. While the button might give a marginal seo benefit at best, its creating a UI nightmare.

But there is no way to disable it.

I can turn the display:none in css, but that leaves an empty white box where the button used to be. Due to the way the button is coded in, the other buttons do not spread out nor shift to fill the void.

    thoughts ideas?
I noticed a thread from over a year ago, went no where.

Would be awesome if the button could be redirected to an anchor link on a post too.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Can you give me a link to the page?

The “shownotes” button just takes you do the post it was posted on. What some people have done is make the forground and background color the same to sort of “hide” the button. But it is not configureable.
