• Can I add a forum to my blog? If so, which one would you recommend? What are pros and cons?

    Many thanks,
    Cynthia

  • There are a number of plugins available but as I don’t use them I can’t recall what they are called. If you Google terms such as “wordpress forum plugin” I’m sure you’ll find them.

A standalone option is bbPress. (from the creators of WordPress)

there’s simple:press forum, which is brilliant in the way that it requires little setup time. it fits on a single wp page, so you don’t have to do much theme tweaking to make it look the same as your wp site.

yes.. use the bbPress just like what Lenk say.. it’s a simple light forum that can integration with wordpress.. because both is one creator.. ??

You have several options, but you might want to try first bbPress, it’s easy money.
Now, you can use a plugin like the TDO MiniForms and tweak it to create a forum like the one for TDOMF support, or you can jump to a social network solution like BuddyPress.

I just, this morning, installed simplepress on my WP 2.7 site…see it here:

I’m very impressed with the features and how seamlessly it incorporates into WP. It’s almost like having a full-feature system like phpBB that installs as a WP plugin. From what I’ve seen so far, I would highly recommend it. You can download it here:
