    Is there a way to attach files directly to an event/sheet?

    This is not really a support question, but, yes, the “description” content area for a sheet is the same content editor (minus some features) that you use for all other WordPress pages/posts, and there is an “Add Media” button to allow you to add any type of media to that description/content area (images, pdf files, etc.).
