    Hi there !

    Your script works fine, but when i reload the site in 80% of all cases i get the known facebook error. (Error occured while retrieving the facebook feed) I wait minutes to reload.
    Is there a api time limit besides facebook or something ?

    It would be very helpfull if there would be a function to cache the feed info (text/link/image) locally in wordpress, they could be shown even if facebook is down.

    Or is there any kind of function to raise the “connection to facebook timeout” ?

    This is my shortcode:

    [efb_feed fanpage_url=”**********” layout=”half” locale=”de_DE” type=”page” post_by=”me” show_logo=”1″ show_image=”1″ show_like_box=”0″ post_number=”3″ post_limit=”3″ cache_unit=”5″ cache_duration=”days” ]

    I would like to use the plugin for a dogs groomer page, but with so many constant errors – this isnt good. But i use your script on another page where the feed is always shown even if i reload every second. strange, isnt it ?

    Greetings and thank you for your work.

  • After getting fed up with all other Facebook plugins that apparently charge money to unlock features. I thought I would try this one since it looks to be the only Free option. When it actually loads, it seems to work really good just like “Custom Feedbook Feed” which I have determined to be the best one right now, but is too restricted for free usage.

    I’m also getting the Error listed:
    “Error occured while retrieving the facebook feed”

    It also appears that the 1 hour caching that it’s supposed to do, is not working. As I would assume that refreshing the page shouldn’t cause it to break or randomly work.

    If you can get the caching working, and fix the Error message from replacing the cached content. I’d rather have 2 hour old data (or some attempt at retrying) instead of an Error message displayed in the feed.

    Also some ability to change CSS of things like these that I had to override would be nice since I have a dark theme:

    .efbl_story_text {
    	line-height: 1.4;
    }

    #efblcf .efbl_comments_wraper {
    	background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
    }
    #efblcf_holder .efbl_popupp_footer {
    	background: #000;
    }

    Hi there,

    New version of the plugin is released with the fixed API issues.

    Make sure to update the new version.

    Since you changed the cache perimeter to 6 days, the page does not refresh. That seemed to replace the “Plugin will store the posts in database temporarily and will look for new posts after every selected time duration” One can no longer set the refresh rate in minutes in widget Old posts are displayed on pages now. Need to update in minutes for display to stay current. It is default hard to ‘days’ and save function is not working in widget. Easy Facebook Feed. Easy Face book Like box displays alot of your notes and icon and cannot be removed….can’t use

    I am having the same issue as Dave – can’t use this plugin any more if it will not update, and right now, it does not update and as he notes, we cannot change the caching time. ??
