Is there a “Build In Widget” setting?

    I love this plugin. I have set up a post form and it works perfectly on one site. I had another site and I wanted to add the same Post type form. It seems I have to create a form and then add a shortcode to the page to display the form. On the first site, there is an option to Build the form inthe Elementor widget. Am I missing a setting somewhere? The build in Widget makes this much easier. The Front End Admin option on the working website does not have a drop Dwom menu in the WP left column, The non-working one does show Forms and settings.

    Any help is appreciated.

    For some reason the Drop Down menu does show on n=both sites but I still can’t add the New Post Form to the page from Elementor. The button doesn’t show. What am I missing? I would add a couple images but I don’t see how to do this here. One image shows ACF Form and Edit Button. The other sites shows about 8 buttons and the one I need is New Post Form. Hope this is a simple setting. Thank you for a great plugin and hopefully a great answer to the issue. ??

    In order to activate the legacy settings you are looking for, then in the settings page, under the “legacy” tab, turn the Elementor widgets button on.

    It could be soon we will go back to further developing the built in widget option, now that Elementor is finally going to start supporting nested Elements. It depends I demand, so add a feature request on our website https://www.dynamiapps.com/support/forum/frontend-admin/feature-requests/

    I feel so stupid. I go to Settings under Front End Admin and there is no Legacy Tab to click. I have checked Settings in WP and Elementor and don’t see Legacy their either. Does Legacy mean this option is going to be removed? Does this option require the Premium version?

    It won’t be removed, but we aren’t adding new settings and features to the Elementor widgets.

    We are building a Gutenberg based form builder instead.

    Can you direct me to the Legacy tab? I don’t see it anywhere.

    Just my perception but Guttenberg is in no way as good a User Interface as Elementor is. They have a long way to go to catch up.

    Legacy now shows up on one of my sites. This does fix the issue.

    Legacy now shows on some of my sites but not all. I am looking to see if this could be a cache issue.

    My apologies. It seems that the legacy tab was removed by accident in the last update. We will return it in the next patch.

    Elementor’s user face is great, but Gutenberg is catching up. The reason we stopped adding features to the Elementor widgets is because we need to focus on one interface and make that as best as it could be, but not everyone uses Elementor, so we need a user interface that most users are familiar with.

    Elementor also uses outdated JS libraries whereas Gutenberg uses more modern frameworks like React, which boosts innovation.
