Is the theme Authentic

  • I am searching for a WordPress theme for a Car Rental Service’s website. My search took me here carrentaltheme-com/ . The demo is available here demo-carrentaltheme-com/.

    It is a free theme, my concern is the authenticity of the theme. I earlier used a free WordPress theme and got my web hosting account compromised!

    Can someone help me know if there is a way to check a theme is good or not?

  • Its not in the Worpress Theme Repository, and has thusly not been reviewed, so you are really on your own… Something you can do, if you really want to use that theme, is to follow the steps that Otto Posted here – it lists review steps that a theme developer needs to take before they are allowed to submit there theme to the WordPress Repository – it should catch a lot of the obvious stuff – but not everything of course…
