• Is the redirection plugin (shown on the Phoenix Media Rename Settings page) required when renaming images?

I installed this plugin and renamed 1 image as a test. The page using that 1 image shows a missing image. Source code still shows the img link to the old image name and not the new image name. Dump/flushed sever cache and tried many different browsers.

Rank Math SEO plugin sees this image name change as a 404.

    Hi @ronthewebguy,
the redirection plugin is not required: Phoenix Media Rename updates all the posts (standard and custom) to reflect the new filename.

There can be some issue with some other plugin that prevents Phoenix Media Rename from updating the post, usually because some plugins use non-standard posts to store their data, especially visual composers.

Now I’m working on a fix for beaver builder, are you using this or another visual composer?

    Thank you for reporting

@crossi72 – I am using Beaver Builder on this particular project. What is the ETA for the BB fix?

I don’t even know if it will be possible to resolve the issue on my side, because I don’t know where Beaver Builder stores the page information and the support team doesn’t have a public email address for support questions, they accept only tickets from registered users.

I asked another user to open a ticket requesting their support to resolve the issue (Phoenix Media Rename notify other plugins when a file is renamed), but I don’t know if they are willing to cooperate.

I’ll try to resolve the issue on my side, but I don’t know if this will be possible without the help of Beaver Builder support team.

There is a link in the footer on every page of the Beaver Builder website for the contact form and every page of the community forums not sure how you missed it.

There is also a support area like this one for the free version hosted here.

All layout data is stored in a page’s post meta.

    Hi @pross,
I didn’t miss the link, but the target page requires to be registered to write a message.

It seems that you are part of the support team, so I try to ask you: do you think you can fix the issue on your side, using the custom action documented here https://www.eurosoftlab.com/en/phoenix-media-rename/#third-party ?

    Thank you
    C.

Just checked th links again it deffo opens a contact form that is public you are probably clicking the support link not contact.

As Imentioned before BB stores image urls in the post meta datayou just have to load that scan through it do your replace and save it.

    Hi @ronthewebguy,
I just released version 3.11.6 that adds compatibility with Beaver Builder Lite, let me know if you find other issues.

@pross: can you tell me how can I check if Beaver Builder pro is active?

FL_BUILDER_LITE is set to true for lite version.

    Thanks for adding support!
