Is the pique theme device responsive
-
Hi,
Is the pique theme available from www.remarpro.com device responsive please?
Thanks
-
Pique is a responsive theme that adapts automatically to any size of device. To simulate what this looks like, you can make the demo browser window smaller.
Hi Kathryn,
Sorry for the late response. I thank you for your reply. The theme looks great on the demo link. Thanks for following up.
Hi Kathryn,
Just one more question about the pique theme. What do the ‘panels’ refer to? Are they the backgrounds for the posts on the homepage? Or are they panel backgrounds applicable for pages too?
Thanks in advance.
Hi there – the panels refer to the different sections that make up the homepage, as you can see here:

Hi Katryn, thank you for the post. I am using the map contact plugin to create a map. I’d like to show this in a post however it is not displaying when the post is set to ‘standard’. When I set the post to image or gallery I get a map of San Diego. The true actual location is London, UK. I’ve double-checked the map settings and they appear to be correct. Any idea why it is not displaying for me?
Lastly, can you recommend a good carousel plugin I can use for a post please?
Thank you so much.
Could you please provide a link to your site so I can have a look directly.
This may be an issue with your plugin — have you tried asking in the map plugin’s forum?
Lastly, can you recommend a good carousel plugin I can use for a post please?
I recommend the Carousel module in Jetpack.
Hi Kathryn, unfortunately I am unable to provide a link as I am developing it locally hosted. I will try posting on the plugin forum. Thank you for your response.
Hi Kathryn,
Thank you for your patience and responses. Do you know how I can change the order in which my posts appear at the moment they default to most recent first. I’d like to play around with which post appears where.
Secondly, do you know how I can make posts ‘sticky’ in the pique theme please?
Lastly, do you know how I can remove the ‘pique theme’ and www.remarpro.com line credits at the bottom of the theme. I’d like to add some organisational details there.
Thank you so much.

You’re welcome!
I’ll reply to your new questions separately:

WordPress blogs display posts in reverse chronological order, with the newest first. The easiest way to change the order is by modifying each post’s publication date, but there are plugins you can use to modify the display more dramatically — for example, if you’d like to display the posts in chronological order, with the oldest first.
Lastly, do you know how I can remove the ‘pique theme’ and www.remarpro.com line credits at the bottom of the theme. I’d like to add some organisational details there.
The simplest way to do that is by adding some custom CSS, like this:
/* Hide default credit */ .site-info { display: none; } /* Add new credit with basic styling */ .site-footer::before { color: #ffffff; content: "?2016 My Company Name"; font-size: 12px; text-align: center; }
Important: Don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten every time the theme is updated.
An easy way to add custom CSS is to install the Jetpack plugin and activate the Custom CSS module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS. You could also install a standalone custom CSS plugin if you prefer.
Hi Kathryn, how are you – well I hope. I am following up a last thread in relation to modifying the www.remarpro.com line credits in the footer of the theme. I activated the jetpack plugin and can use the custom css feature however I don’t believe the css you attached is correct as I am not seeing any changes. I’d like to add ‘Fresh Bites sandwich bar copyright 2016’ at the bottom as opposed to hiding the credit so I presume I do not need that section of code. The code snippet to add a new credit does not appear to work for me. Can you re-supply please? Thanks in advance.
Please provide a link to your site so I can take a look directly – thanks.
Hi Kathryn,
I solved it. I used both bits of CSS. The first to hide the ‘powered by WordPress/Pique theme’ line. The second piece of CSS to create a new footer company line. I am locally hosted so cannot share a url with you but thank you for following up. Have a good rest of day.
Glad you’re all set!
