• I have a large site with many pictures (approx 10,000). I was using v 1.9.13 for quite some time and upgraded to the early v2.0’s when they came out and the performance of the entire website suffered. This caused me to go back to v 1.9.13, and to tell you the truth, I am quite happy. That being said … Are the newer versions (v2.0.66.27) snappier than the earlier 2.0’s? Are they faster than 1.9.13? Yes, I understand that it is all based upon hardware, but — in general — has the problem of slowness been fixed? Thanks!

@patrickhait – This is a very relative question, although we do not recommend rolling back to Legacy versions any longer I would still recommend the best way to see if the plugin is “snappier” on your site is to actually upgrade to the latest version.

I would also recommend, if you are happy with the Legacy version, to test this on a mirrored version of your site to minimize any potential speed/load testing you might want to do.
