    Hi @turbodb,

    Hope you’re doing well.

Regarding your inquiry, we would like to explain that the ig_es_cron job is utilized to periodically check the functionality of other cron jobs established by the Icegram Express plugin.

Its primary purpose is to ensure the proper operation of these additional cron jobs, which are mainly responsible for sending emails through the WordPress cron system. The ig_es_cron job takes corrective action by rescheduling these cron jobs if it detects any issues.

If you have configured a real cron job, please verify whether the “Disable WordPress Cron” option is enabled in the plugin’s settings (Icegram Express –> Settings –> Email Sending).

If the option is not enabled, kindly activate it.

Once enabled, the ig_es_cron job will continue to run on an hourly basis, but it will refrain from rescheduling other cron jobs.

    Hope this helps!

    I don’t understand your reply.

    • I have configured WP_CRON in my wp-config.php
    • I have disabled (activated) “Disable WordPress Cron” in Icegram Express –> Settings –> Email Sending

Then you said that “ig_es_cron job will continue to run on an hourly basis, but it will refrain from rescheduling other cron jobs,” so what will it do?

    Thanks, Dan

    Hi @turbodb,

    Thanks for your response.

Currently, the purpose of the ig_es_cron cron job is to add/remove other cron jobs based on the Disable WordPress Cron option.

If this option is enabled means emails won’t be send through WordPress cron. Therefore it will unschedule other cron jobs.

If this option is disabled, then it will reschedule other cron jobs which are then used to send emails, etc.

Let me know if you have any other doubts.

    Thanks
