Is the Events Calendar Required?

  • Hello,

    I seem to remember the Events Calendar came bundled in the Happenstance theme download, or was at the very least strongly recommended.

    I’m having trouble with sluggish load speed on my site at https://advancedon-site.com. Have deleted everything I do not need, but am still plagued by four speed sapping plugins. The events calendar is by far the biggest pig of them all. What does it do, and can I get along without it?

    Hi Dave,

    no, the Events Calendar is not required. It is only a recommended plugin. If you do not need to manage events on your website, it is not necessary to install the Events Calendar plugin.
