• Honestly, I have a hard time understanding why WordPress devs insist so hard on forcing us to uninstall Gutenberg and reinstall the classic editor over and over again.

So big is the ego of Gutenberg devs that it prevents them from seeing the statistics and opinions of the (by far) majority of users in the WordPress community? ..that it explicitly rejects the sovereign fiasco that is Gutenberg?

I think they are old enough to accept a epic fail and solve it, at least leaving Gutenberg as an optional. …Although personally I can only recommend you to bury it for eternity, and spend your time and efforts in maintaining the high standard that WordPress has always enjoyed.

    Greetings!

You seem to forget that there’s probably a new generation of “smarter” devs who think the old chaps should just retire. And Gutt is the result of that attitude… which, frankly, is being seen all over the world now.

    Agreed. Gutenberg , worst …

    Agree, just dev ego.

They are locked in and Gutenberg is going to be enabled for navigation next!

I can only shudder in horror.

All WP needed to carry on succeeding was to stay it’s course – they jeopardise everything in this foolhardy endeavour, including our businesses as well.

When you start looking at developing blocks yourself and patterns you will absolutely love it. It is not that difficult. I hated it 2 years ago. Now Im a massive fan. Oh and by the way I am 42 years old. So not just for the young bucks ??
