    It’s Blog, not Bolg.
It looks to me like it is using the standard category taxonomy, so it is likely a Post. What is your question : “And what type of content should we write under Posts?”

    I am talking about Post.

I can understand what you said, Blog is the category taxonomy of Post, Right?

But when I add a new category taxonomy : news, The Post permalink still ‘domain.com/slug-name’. And the news category taxonomy permalink is ‘domain.com/category/news’.

So I think the blog should be a custom Post.

No, you said Bolg, and I corrected it to Blog. There is no reference to Blog on that page. It is not a taxonomy either.

You don’t “add a new category taxonomy : news”. Category is a taxonomy. It is the default Post taxonomy, although you can write code to have other post types use the Post taxonomies. If you add a category to your site and call it news, you have added a term. The term name is news, and the slug is likely news also.

It depends on how you have set your Permalink structure in Settings > Permalinks as to how your post address will look. The default for category pages is like you say
‘domain.com/category/news’, but you can use plugins to remove the word category. (The news page does not remove it, that’s why I said it looked like a normal Post.)

The news blog on this site is just the standard “Posts” type. It is not a Custom Post Type of any kind. No Custom Post Types are used or needed for our main site like that.

    I have a question.
How do you implement the URL with the ‘news’ prefix when viewing Posts detail?

This site is a multisite instance. The “news” site is one of the sites on that multisite instance.

If you wanted to do the same type of thing for a single site instance, then you would simply install WordPress into the /news/ directory on that site, instead of installing it on the root. We’re using multisite to do much the same thing.

Also, remember that in WordPress, you can assign a PAGE to be the BLOG or NEWS page and under General > Reading and you can assign the home page to be a PAGE your have entitled “HOME.”

That way, you then have your HOME page and your NEWS page, where your Posts archive is generated and live on the PAGE called “News”

So, just go to Settings > Reading and change the target home page to a page called HOME and the target blog page to a page called NEWS. Set your navigation menu accordingly and you’ll have a HOME page and a NEWS page.

Some people simply call the Posts archives page, “BLOG.” But, it depends on what you decided to convey to your audience. Are your posts BLOG posts or are they NEWS posts – it’s up to you. Some people don’t like the term “BLOG” and don’t want to feel like they have to be caught in a cycle of blogging for blogging’s sake, so they simply call that page NEWS and whatever POSTS live under the NEWS tab are just what they are – NEWS posts and not BLOG posts.
