  • Well, one way I can think of could be to create a master category called “Links” and then several sub-categories with “Links” set as the parent category. Then you can create a category-number.php (number to be replaced with the ID number of the “Links” parent category) file which you can then style to show the children categories in the same way the page you linked to show them.

If no-one else makes any other suggestions I’ll try and implement what I’ve described above on a test blog and post you the URL if I can achieve the effect you desire as well as a more thorough step-by-step guide on how to set it up.

I’m working on something similar, and am doing it similar to the way o-juice describes. There are wp functions that allow you to get categories by ID # or name. I’ve also got a site that does something similar for showing posts from several specified categories. It all works quite well. I’m at home right now, otherwise I’d put in the particular function names you need to use.

Hi, I’m quite new to the wordpress community but have been using the software for a few months now – btw: I love it ?? -. I’ve been coping with the same problem. I need to have different categories on the same page, but only specific categories in specific div’s…. Allows me to easily update the whole front page by category. I’ve been trying to find an easy way without just getting the info straight from the database. I must have been overlooking something…?

I’d like to have a web links section. Is there any sort of plugin to help with that?

    Try this plugin: https://alan.spacemonkeymafia.com/bookmarks/xbel_wp_plugin/

    A word of caution:

You may want to re-enter a reference to the original designer of this page you have modified.

It’s pretty obvious it is the Clean Breeze theme, but also not modified enough to not give credit out of courtesy. For someone that apparently has published and operate so many sites you should understand the concept of giving credit.

You also may want to check your links page off that site.

All the graphics you have included have destroyed the page in FF.
