    Yes, Stripe requires SSL on your website to work. With any eCommerce website, an SSL certificate is recommended, because it adds a layer of safety for your customers. You can use Stripe without SSL in test mode, but once you go live you will need to turn on the force SSL option, and install a certificate on your domain for it to work properly.
