    Hi,

I think your plugin is great, but I have a doubt, is it necessary for the plugin to work with SSL Certificate? the website I am using has no shopping cart and I want to know if I can avoid to take a certificate.

    Thanks in Advance

  • Hello Ezequiel,

Arun here. Thanks for the kind words about Super Progressive Web Apps!

Unfortunately, a SSL certificate is mandatory. Its not something set by our plugin, but a requirement of Progressive Web Apps in general.

You can get a free SSL certificate from https://letsencrypt.org. Even if you are on shared hosting, many hosts now offer free SSL certificates, so you should write to them and see what they have to offer.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions. I am happy to help.

    Best regards.

    Hello @lavak00731,

As for working SuperPWA the website should be https:// otherwise our plugin won’t support.

It’s not mainly our requirement, it’s what required by Progressive Web Apps to support on every browser.

You can try Let’s Encrypt or Cloudflare both are providing it as FREE now.

    Thanks,
    Jose
