is shortcode supposed to work in widgets?

Shortcodes to not work in (text) widgets unless you have another plugin that makes the text widget render shortcodes.

But, you should just use the Ditty Widget. There is no difference between using the shortcode and the widget. The widget shows exactly what the shortcode would.

I still needed to use it as a shortcode not widget, for styling purposes, nvm anyway. I’ve used a function to enable php coding in widgets and that way I could use ditty’s php code supplied ??
