    Hi there,

I found this entry in my WordPress cron jobs using the WP Cronium Plugin:

    pum_weekly_scheduled_events

It runs once weekly but it doesn’t seem to do any action. Can I safely delete this cron job or what is it’s purpose?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Kind Regards,
    Chris

Hi @ceiermann – thanks for bringing this to our attention and we apologize for any delays.

We will need to forward your concern to our lead developer. As soon as we get any new information regarding this then we will reply to this thread with an update.

We appreciate your patience with this.

@ceiermann – Thanks for asking. In this case you can delete them, but we added them to the core plugin so that some of our extensions can tap into them in the future. Granted only one has done so so far (Analytics), but that could change.

That said I’m not sure deleting them would do much as the logic used to register them essentially just says if they don’t exist, create them. Thus deleting them would likely just trigger it to re-register them.

They don’t do anything currently, but if you had 0 other crons I could see that these would trigger needless requests (though that is very uncommon).

I wonder if there is a way to leave them but disable them. The logic we use is straight from WP core docs, so not sure if there might be a better way.
