• Hello,

I have two separate WP site in 2 different languages that I would like to link with proper Hreflang rules. I just wanted to know if it’s still accurate to use your plugin in 2022 and if your plugin is complying with Google hreflang rules ?

Thanks a lot for your reply,
    Samuel

Sorry for the lack of response. This week has been quite busy for me in my day job. I have not been keeping up with the evolving requirements of hreflang rules. Do you have a good reference that you can point me to? As you can see, Bilingual Linker only has 100+ active installations. I have not had anyone else contact me about issues with the plugin, but that does not mean that it is 100% compliant either. Have you tried installing the plugin and looking at the HTML output yourself? As this is not my most popular plugin, I mainly work on it when someone reports a specific issue with it.

    Thanks for your reply,
I don’t know either if hreflang rules have evolved, I thought you would know. But here is a reference I suppose is good : Tell Google about localized versions of your page
Regarding your plugin no, I didn’t try it, I wanted to know if it was still supported before ??
Let me know if you think I should wait before installing it but if not I’ll try it and let you know.

Finally got around to checking what my plugin does in regards to hreflang tags and such and I do think that it complies with current rules to indicate the translation URLs of content.

That being said, you’ve probably moved on to another plugin given how long it took me to reply to you. Sorry about that.
