I have a website (xhtml based) hosted at Godaddy.com.
I want to start a blog in there without disturbing the existing site (in a separate directory).

Now, to install WordPress I need to create MySQL database in my site.

    If I do it,
what change is going to happen in my existing site?
is it going to create any problem in my existing site?

I am totally new to self hosting blog and WordPress.
I would really appreciate any help.

  • If you’re puttting WordPress in a separate directory you should have no conflict with your present site. The MySQL database shouldn’t cause you any problems either.
