Before I got a “There has been a critical error on this website” message (each time I tried to visit my site), I got a message (from UpdraftPlus) that one of my files “was found, but has a different size (36994400) from what was expected (34897247) – it may be corrupt”. I could use some help figuring out what my options are now, with that file and others. Thank you.

    Hi,

Yes, it appears like corrupted. You can download the file directly from your backup storage and see if you get the same issue. Corruption could happen during upload or download. Make sure the files gets successfully downloaded/uploaded.

    Thanks,

    Thanks, Bryle.

In addition to Dashboard, UpdraftPlus put files into Google Drive. Is there a way to restore my site with UpdraftPlus files that I put on a thumb drive (and are from Google Drive), without losing other UpdraftPlus files that are stored in Dashboard? Again, I don’t know how to get to Dashboard now, with the critical error.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Yes, you will not lose your backups as the backups are stored in a separate folder – backups are stored in the wp-content/updraft of your WP install.

    Thanks,
    Bryle
