Is multisite is a good option for freelancers

    I would like to know if the multisite is a good option for a developer, or a small agency where we have to handle 10-20 clients with different domain names. like – insurance.com, wood-work.com, dentist.com

    Should we use multisite option to manage different clients having small websites?

    No, I wouldn’t suggest using it for multiple unrelated industries. MS works really well for a specific focus/market.

    I totally disagree.

    WordPress.com is a multisite. And it has CNN blogs, E!Online, and a bevy of other, totally unrelated, industries ??

    The only reason I would not use it is if I absolutely have to keep each site a ‘secret’ from each other, or have total sanctity of data/user bases.

    That said, keep in mind if you plan to host them forever. If the answer is ‘Probably not.’ then don’t use Multisite.
