Is Microsoft Exchange considered Outlook?

    Deciding if I need the pro version or not.

    Wanting to use for Microsoft Exchange email – is this considered Outlook or can I use the “Other SMTP” option?

It is possible to use Other SMTP mailer option to connect with your Office 365 / Microsoft Exchange email account, but it is the least recommended option, because you may face server-related issues such as blocked ports, Firewall related issues, and ModRewrite issues, etc. You can give it a try and see how it goes.

    API based ‘Microsoft Outlook’ mailer is the recommended option to connect with Office 365 email account as it is more reliable, secure, and does not often encounter server-related issues.
