is it working as a matching option for online dating?

  • The only thing that I wonder about is how to manage that just people who signed up with their email adress have the opportunity to search for matches???!!!

    So people who are not members they should just see a landing page with a sign up form and if they sign up for it they will have the opportunity to create their own profile and searching for matches worldwide.

    Is it also possible to see if someone is online?

    So I got a great theme already and don’t wanna spent money for a dating theme. Are you sure that this is possible with just the two Plugins (Buddy Press and BP Profile Search)? (my theme is supporting both)

    Hi AlineDahmen,

    Yes, BP Profile Search can be used for online dating sites.

    You can put your search form in a dedicated page but, in order to restrict access to that page to logged-in users only, you may need a membership plugin or something like that.

    In my opinion, with BuddyPress and BP Profile Search you have a good starting point, then you can add other plugins to provide more features.

    The “BP Members Only” plugin was simple and effective for my site. Unlogged visitors get redirected only on pages that you specify.
