Hi, yes it is safe to update. No major code changes in this release.
I still recommend to always try new releases on a test server.

    Update
A bug has been reported by other users for v3.2.7. It is related to the version of PHP used by your host company. Some new features of the theme are not supported by servers using php version less than 5.3 (released in 2010).

Before I come with a fix for this, if your server uses a version of PHP less than 5.3, you can do the following :
    1) Open the customizer in appearance > customize
    2) navigate to Content > Post metas
    3) uncheck “Display the update date”
    4) uncheck “Display post metas”
    5) uncheck “Display a recent update notice”

Just to clarify, will we be warned when a update of theme no longer supports a certain version of PHP.

I Just want to know before I log a ticket with my hosting company.

I just checked and I am on PHP 5.3. I have an option to upgrade to 5.4 but saw this message. Upgrading to PHP 5.4 might cause compatibility issues with code on your site.
Installed applications might not run under this new version.

I know that is not a customize related question, but is it a good idea to stick with 5.3 or does 5.4 offer a good reason to upgrade and with low risk of breaking wordpress?

I’m running 5.4.19 in my localhost for at least 2+ weeks

i’ve gone to 5.5 today, seems ok

If in doubt check the www.remarpro.com demo page: https://wp-themes.com/customizr/ – It’s always running the latest WordPress & theme versions.

Thanks for your replies. 5.5 is not listed as an option for me only 5.4. I was just wondering if I will encounter any database or login problems. I will make sure and back up everything before I upgrade in any case. Do you notice any changes like slightly faster or other improvements with PHP upgrades?

    nope, nothing different ??
Haven’t really looked that closely though, I am happy as long as the site is up ??

Well well well. I’ve updated today to 3.2.7 and php5.5 and my embedded you tube videos are playing again.
Happy as Larry over here me. ??

    Win!

    Indeed

On a sidenote while we’re waitng for nikeo. I know cstmz has been downloaded loads. Are there any stats on how many websites are actually actively using it as a theme?

Just updated to 3.27. So far the only change I have noticed is the word “Recently Updated” next to my article posts. I might need to remove that since I am constantly updating my articles as I find autocorrect errors. How do we change that option?

One other weird thing I have noticed recently is spacing between paragraphs. I am not sure if this is related to Customizr or something else. What I mean is that it will not recognize paragraph breaks at all. This almost always occurs when I bold, italicize, or change the font color for some text. It will usually not affect the whole article just the following few paragraphs.

The fix I have found for this is to change from the standard font listed as paragraph to something else like Verdana for example and also by selecting a font size like 12 point.

I am not sure which plugin I installed that allows font choice, I just had a look and the only one that it might be is TinyMCE Advanced. Any tips on this paragraph break error where it won’t recognize the lines between and joins them all together?
