• I am currently running WP 3.8 and NextGen 1.9.13

I am cautious about updating to NextGen 2.x as I updated it last year (after WP upgrade, and everything broke) so I rolled it back to the previous version.

My galleries are working okay now except I cannot adjust the thumbnail view. The UI to customize the thumbnail view does not display the image and I cannot manipulate it.

Is everyone able to upgrade to the latest NextGen? Or should I stay with the old version and just deal with the thumbnail issue? Is it unrelated?

    here’s an example gallery: https://www.ithacarollerderby.com/bluestockings/

    Thank you.

@kilenc9 – Thanks for starting your own topic.

I would suggest updating all items on your site including WordPress core as well as NextGEN Gallery.

The issues you are describing should not happen in the latest version of NextGEN Gallery but I cannot guarantee that as there could be a conflict with your theme or another active plugin.

After updating to WordPress 3.9 I would ensure you have a fully verified backup of your site before updating any other items so you have a fall back in case things do not go well.

    Okay 3.9 updated fine.

Updated NextGen and the galleries look okay but still cannot edit the thumbnail.

Also new issue is the galleries no longer open into a lightbox where you can page through images. Instead they individually open in the same page.

All other plugins deactivated and this still occurs.

    Custom theme.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

Hi – Just wondering how I can troubleshoot the gallery lightbox which has disappeared with the update to the latest version of nextgen.

    Thank you
