    Great plugin!
Can I safely deactivate plugins like Wordfence, Ithemes, WP Rocket in the backend to speed up post edit screens or it can make site vulnerable for hacks?

Is it ok if I leave that kind of plugins to work just on front end?

    Hi @szymonfortuna

    thank you!

You can surely disable WP Rocket in the backend pages without any problem with security.

Regarding WordFence and iThemes, in my opinion, you can disable them in the backend and even in the frontend, but you should have confirmation from the authors of these plugins.

Probably, most of the protection that they give is behind the scenes, not when you load a page. I don’t think they add anything to the output of the page or JS scripts on the frontend. Or maybe they do it depending on their settings.

But I’m not the author and can’t confirm what I said Because they are important for safety I would not hear only my thoughts. I would ask directly the authors of these plugins.

    Have a great day!

    Jose,
Thank you for the quickly reply. I’ll ask the Ithemes and Wordfence developers, and will share any news from them regarding their plugins and either they can be deactivated or not.
